The Eye of the Squirrel
Announcing the release a new major motion picture — in fact, here, have the whole thing
I’m working on my next article, which has been delayed by some really tough family news. More on that when I finish. But I’m sitting at my desk this afternoon, trying to write about Arvo Pärt’s Te Deum, playing the classic 1993 ECM recording of Tõnu Kaljuste conducting the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, and I caught someone looking at me through the window. I find that certain animals, like deer and squirrels, are so common that we often overlook the moments when they’re conveying us messages. In the context of the article I’m writing, at this juncture of my life, this message was very sweet indeed.

Beautiful.
